Another birthday, another cake to bake! Well actually this time we decided to do something a little on the different side… I decided, or rather i should say we (my step sister and i) decided to make my brother in law cake balls, that are really biscuit balls for his birthday.
We decided on two flavors – both his favorites, peanut butter and oreo.
Stuff you’ll need
- 2 packets of oreo biscuits
- 250 grams cream cheese
- 200 grams milk chocolate
- sprinkles to decorate
- 1 packet of scotch fingers
- 200 grams peanut butter
- 200 grams dark chocolate
- chopped peanuts to decorate
How i did it
Very, very very simple… I cant emphasize just how simple it is to make these, a little messy, but really simple none the less, and same process for both flavors.
First blend the biscuits in the food processor, then add the cream cheese (or peanut butter) and using the tips of your fingers bring together to form a soft dough.
Roll the dough into balls and place in the fridge for about 1/2 and hour or until firm. Melt the chocolate in the microwave and then roll the balls in the chocolate, before the chocolate sets sprinkle the sprinkles or nuts on to decorate, or if your like me to hide the mess that is your chocolate dipping skills!
Set them in the fridge over night and place in a lovely jovely bowl and present to your brother in law to recieve wonderful praise over your awesomeness cooking skills where you didnt even need an oven
